Charlie's Chat

"Thanks", Charlie The following article was published in the September, 1993 issue of the Chatterbox.
We would like to make an observation that needs to be shared with all campers at Poor Farmer's. If you haven't noticed how clean and neat the grounds and restrooms have been, then please take the time to look around. This is all due to the efforts of Charles Ellis. Charles is that gentleman we all see moving around the grounds picking up trash bags and just plain trash that other careless folks toss away. Charles is that individual that is seen polishing the restrooms and seeing that all is neat and clean. Now some will say that this is what he is being paid for, but the truth of the matter is that Charlie is one of those rare individuals who happen to believe that if you have a job to do, then do it to the best of your ability, even though it may not be thought of as being glamorous or pleasant. Charles gives it (his duties) his complete attention and he does it with pride in the fact that it needs to be done and done to the best of his ability. He truly is a rare person in today's labor market and has established a record that we can all emulate with pride. The next time you see Charles going about his duties, take the time to let him know that you really do appreciate his efforts, on our behalf. Well done Charles, you are a credit to the organization
We miss you Charlie!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Brian Sturgill on their new union as husband and wife. The Springer family is pleased to have Brian and his two sons, Jason and Kyle, as part of the family. With the help of family and friends, Amy organized a beautiful ceremony at the Piqua Christian Church on October 29th, 2011. Please stop in and see the new bride in our parts store. She is always happy to see you and of course, show off the ring. |
